‘Daayra’ Has Had a Slow Start

Kareena's latest release, Daayra, is a crime thriller that arrived in theatres on September 18. Since it has only been in cinemas for a few days, it would be too early to include its final box-office verdict in her decade-long record.

The film, however, has reportedly opened slowly. According to the figures mentioned in the report, Daayra earned around ₹1 crore on its opening day and approximately ₹1.75 crore on the second day.

That puts its reported two-day collection at around ₹2.75 crore.

Can the Film Recover?

The early numbers indicate a modest opening, but a film's final box-office performance depends on several factors, including weekday collections, audience response, screen count and how well it holds after the opening weekend.

With more days still remaining in its theatrical run, the final verdict on Daayra cannot yet be determined.
