The Azad Nagar Police of Indore have arrested a notorious female criminal and drug smuggler, Pangu alias Sarita Bai, in a major crackdown on narcotics. From her possession, police recovered over 24 grams of brown sugar, valued at more than Rs 24,000 in the illegal market.

According to officials, Sarita Bai used to procure drugs from Rajasthan and supply them in Indore, pushing many youths into addiction. She bought drugs at cheaper prices and sold them at high rates to fund her own addiction and earn easy money.

A History of Crime

Sarita Bai is not a first-time offender. Police records show that:

  • At least 25 cases are registered against her, including drug smuggling, illegal liquor trade, and assault.

  • Her name figures in the “goon list” of Azad Nagar police station.

Expanding the Investigation

Police sources revealed that they are interrogating her to uncover the full extent of her network and identify others linked to the supply chain. The operation is seen as a big success in curbing the drug menace in Indore.

Police’s Stand: Zero Tolerance for Drug Trade

This arrest comes shortly after the police nabbed another woman drug smuggler, Seema Nath, highlighting a tough and consistent stance against narcotics. Authorities have assured that the drive will continue until Indore is free from drug abuse.

Officials reiterated that the illegal drug trade will not be tolerated under any circumstances, bringing a sense of relief to local residents who hope these strict actions will deter the growing menace.
