Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan has been making headlines over speculation about a new collaboration with Telugu filmmaker Bobby Kolli—the director credited with presenting Bobby Deol in a powerful villainous avatar in the film Daaku Maharaaj. However, recent reports suggest that the much-talked-about project is not currently in development.

The buzz started after Telugu writer-producer Kona Venkat revealed in an interview that director Bobby Kolli and writer K. Chakravarthy Reddy had narrated a story to Hrithik Roshan. According to Venkat, the Bollywood actor liked the idea and responded positively, sparking speculation that a big pan-India project could be on the horizon.

No Project in the Works for Now

However, a report by The Hollywood Reporter India clarified that Hrithik Roshan is not currently working with Bobby Kolli. Sources indicate that although the two sides met earlier to discuss a possible collaboration, the talks did not move forward into formal negotiations.

At present, there are no active discussions or confirmed projects between the actor and the filmmaker.

Hrithik’s Upcoming Projects

Hrithik Roshan remains busy with several major projects. His spy action film War 2, a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, released in 2025 but reportedly struggled at the box office.

Meanwhile, the actor is expected to focus on the long-awaited superhero sequel Krrish 4, although reports suggest the film is currently delayed due to budget constraints.

Collaboration With Hombale Films

Hrithik had earlier announced a pan-India project with the production house Hombale Films, known for blockbuster titles such as KGF: Chapter 1, KGF: Chapter 2, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, and Kantara.

While the studio welcomed the actor publicly and hinted at a grand project featuring “grit, grandeur and glory,” no timeline has yet been announced for the film’s production.
