According to Dr. Subhash Giri from RML Hospital, simple lifestyle habits can significantly boost these hormones.
• Exercise is one of the best ways to increase endorphins. Yoga, walking, dancing, cycling, or any light workout works well.
• Sitting in sunlight for 15–20 minutes boosts serotonin and instantly lifts mood.
• Good-quality sleep is crucial because lack of sleep reduces dopamine and serotonin.
• Include mood-friendly foods such as dark chocolate, bananas, dried fruits, yogurt, eggs, oats, and vitamin D–rich foods.
Spending time with loved ones, hugging, talking, or playing with pets increases oxytocin. Listening to music you love, meditation, reducing stress, learning something new, or doing enjoyable hobbies boosts dopamine and serotonin.
