Gold Silver Price Today Live: After gaining for three consecutive sessions, gold prices lost their gains on Friday. Today, 24K, 22K, and 18K gold prices saw a sharp decline. This decline came amid a strengthening of the Indian rupee in early trade. However, the trend in the international bullion market remained strong. The recent decline in gold prices today is a relief for retail jewelry buyers and investors, as the fall in gold prices ahead of Akshaya Tritiya on April 19 will result in significant financial savings.

How much has the price of gold decreased?

It should be noted that today the price of 24-carat gold in India has fallen by ₹137 per gram to ₹15,420 per gram. Similarly, the price of 22-carat gold has dropped by ₹125 per gram to ₹14,135 per gram. The price of 18-carat gold has fallen by ₹103 per gram to ₹11,565 per gram. Friday's drop in gold prices means that the price of 24-carat gold per 100 grams in India has fallen by ₹13,400 to ₹15,42,000.

Silver also declined

Silver prices in India also declined on Friday, April 17th. The price of silver in India fell by ₹5 per gram to ₹265 per gram. This represents a decline of ₹5,000 per kilogram. With this, the price of silver in India is currently ₹2.65 lakh per kilogram. After significant fluctuations in January and February this year, silver reached its highest level of over ₹4 lakh per kilogram, but the following month, the price fell below ₹3 lakh.

While gold and silver prices fell in India on Friday , international prices for these precious metals remained stable. According to Trading Economics, international gold prices remained near $4,800 per ounce on Friday, April 17th. This marks the fourth consecutive week of gains for the precious metal.
