Common people in the country are facing a lot of trouble in getting gas cylinders. Although the government claims that there is enough stock in the country, the crowd outside the gas agencies does not seem to be decreasing. The government is trying to end the disruption in the gas supply. Some people have PNG and LPG gas connections. If any of them has both gas connections, then such customers will have to surrender the LPG connection. Otherwise, the government has made it clear that they will not get the facility of getting the cylinder refilled. Therefore, this is the process of surrendering the LPG cylinder after taking the PNG connection.
What does the rule say?
Under the new rule, a household with a PNG connection cannot be given a separate LPG connection. An order has been implemented that consumers who have both gas connections will have to surrender their LPG gas cylinders. The government has also issued instructions to state-owned oil distribution companies and distributors in this regard. According to this, consumers who have not surrendered their LPG gas cylinders will not be given refills. During the global energy crisis and tensions in the Middle East, gas supply and distribution have been greatly affected. This decision has been taken to maintain the availability and balance of gas cylinders in the country.
