Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 has emerged as a massive box office success, breaking several records within just a few days of its release. The film has shown exceptional performance both in India and overseas, quickly crossing the ₹700 crore mark globally and establishing itself as one of the biggest hits in recent times.
Despite the usual weekday slowdown, the film has maintained strong momentum. On its fifth day (Monday), Dhurandhar 2 reportedly earned around ₹65 crore net at the Indian box office from over 20,000 shows, taking its total domestic collection to approximately ₹519 crore. The gross collection for the day stood close to ₹78 crore. While there was a noticeable drop of over 40 percent compared to the weekend, the overall performance remains impressive.
The film has performed particularly well in the Hindi belt, contributing the majority of its earnings. It has also recorded steady collections in regional markets such as Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, further boosting its nationwide total. Internationally, the film has added significant revenue, with overseas collections contributing over ₹200 crore, pushing the worldwide gross to nearly ₹830 crore.
One of the major highlights of Dhurandhar 2 is its record-breaking opening weekend. The film collected around ₹430 crore net in Hindi alone within its first four days, making it the highest opening for any Hindi-language film. In doing so, it has surpassed major blockbusters like Pushpa 2, Pathaan, Jawan, and Stree 2 in terms of opening performance.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has been praised not only for Ranveer Singh’s powerful performance but also for its strong supporting cast. Characters beyond the lead roles have received significant appreciation, with many viewers highlighting the impactful climax and well-developed side characters as key strengths of the film.
With its current pace, Dhurandhar 2 is expected to continue its strong run at the box office. While it has already outperformed several Bollywood hits, its next major challenge lies in competing with top-grossing South Indian films, which have also dominated the market in recent years.
