Delhi Blast: Full 11-Hour Route of Explosive-Laden i20 Car Revealed by Police

Police investigating the car bombing near Delhi’s Red Fort have uncovered the detailed 11-hour route of the Hyundai i20 involved in the blast. The vehicle left Faridabad at around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, first captured on CCTV outside Asian Hospital, Faridabad. It then passed the Badarpur toll at 8:13 a.m., entered Delhi, and was seen near a petrol pump in the Okhla Industrial Area at 8:20 a.m.

The car arrived at a parking lot near the Red Fort complex at 3:19 p.m. and remained stationary for approximately three and a half hours. At 6:22 p.m., the vehicle left the parking lot heading toward the Red Fort, where a massive explosion occurred at 6:52 p.m.

The car’s registration number is HR 26 CE 7674, purchased on October 29 from Royal Car John in Faridabad. The purchaser, Tariq, a Pulwama resident, has been taken into police custody amid investigations linking the blast to Faridabad.

Delhi Police, in coordination with Jammu and Kashmir Police, are probing the involvement of Dr. Umar Mohammad, a suspect linked with the Jaish-e-Mohammed module in Faridabad. Authorities recovered a large cache of ammonium nitrate and 20 timers from Faridabad. The prolonged parking of the i20 car is under investigation to determine if timers were employed in the bombing.
