Credit cards now on your mobile! PNB launches 'Credit on UPI' service, take advantage of it…

To stay at the forefront of digital payments, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has launched a convenient feature for its customers. PNB customers will now be able to link their RuPay credit card directly to BHIM or other UPI apps. This will eliminate the need to carry a physical credit card for both small and large purchases.
To further simplify digital transactions for its approximately 180 million customers, it has partnered with the fintech company Kiwi
. Kiwi is known as a 'credit-on-UPI' platform. The primary objective of this initiative is to provide customers with access to credit through UPI, thereby simplifying the payment process. Under this partnership, the bank will launch the PNB Kiwi Credit Card on the RuPay network. This will allow customers to make payments through UPI even if they don't have sufficient balance in their bank account. Let's find out in detail.
Easy to use with cashback,
this card will be completely digital and easily linked to UPI, making the payment process much easier. Additionally, users will receive a cashback of 0.5% to 1.5% on online transactions. In other words, users will receive a cashback of 0.5%.
Digital Card with No Fees
This card will be issued entirely digitally; this means customers can apply for it online from the comfort of their homes. The application process requires minimal paperwork, making it easy and quick. Most importantly, there are no joining fees or annual fees on this card, making it a more affordable option for the average person.
Punjab National Bank Executive Director Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra stated that digital payments are growing rapidly across the country, with UPI playing a key role in this expansion
. He added that the bank has a strong network of over 10,000 branches across the country, with approximately 60% of these branches located in semi-urban and rural areas. By leveraging this network effectively, the bank is reaching out to those previously excluded from the formal financial system and providing them with formal credit facilities.
