Ravi Teja appears to be back in form at the box office. After a run of films that struggled to make a major impact, the South Indian star is now enjoying a strong response to his latest release, Irumudi.

The film has shown impressive growth over its first three days and has reportedly recovered an amount equivalent to twice its reported production budget when worldwide collections are considered.

Irumudi earns ₹50.50 crore in three days

According to the reported Sacnilk figures, Irumudi opened with a net collection of around ₹15.30 crore on its first day.

The film then showed growth on Saturday, collecting approximately ₹16.20 crore. On its third day, collections reportedly increased further to around ₹19 crore.

This takes the film's three-day domestic net collection to approximately ₹50.50 crore.

The upward trend over the weekend is particularly encouraging for the makers.

Worldwide collection crosses ₹72 crore

The film has reportedly performed well in overseas markets as well.

Its worldwide gross collection is said to have reached approximately ₹72.15 crore in just three days, including an overseas gross of around ₹13.50 crore.

With the reported production budget standing at approximately ₹35 crore, the film has already generated worldwide gross revenue of more than twice its production cost.

However, box-office gross is not the same as the producer's final profit, as theatrical revenue is shared between distributors and exhibitors and other costs are also involved.

Ravi Teja gets the comeback he needed

Ravi Teja has enjoyed a strong fan following for years, particularly because of his energetic performances and mass-oriented films.

However, his recent releases had struggled to achieve the kind of box-office success associated with his earlier career.

Irumudi could therefore prove important for the actor. A strong theatrical run would not only revive his box-office momentum but could also increase expectations around his upcoming projects.

Competition could become tougher

The film's future performance will depend on how well it maintains its momentum in the coming days.

The arrival of other major releases could put pressure on its screen count and daily collections. Among the films expected to compete in the wider market is Yash's Toxic.

If Irumudi continues to attract audiences despite increasing competition, it could turn into one of Ravi Teja's notable recent successes.
