Actor Varun Dhawan has reacted to the trolling he faced on social media ahead of the release of his upcoming film Border 2. The actor was targeted online after memes surfaced mocking his expressions and smile in the song “Ghar Kab Aaoge” from the film.
Since the song’s release, clips and screenshots featuring Varun Dhawan have gone viral, with some users questioning his expressions and even his casting in the patriotic war drama. However, the actor chose not to respond aggressively and instead addressed the criticism with composure.

At the Braves of the Soil tribute trailer launch event for Border 2, Varun Dhawan spoke openly about the trolling. He said he prefers not to focus on negativity and believes in letting his work speak for itself.
“I believe these things happen, and it doesn’t really matter. I am not working for that. You will see this Friday what I work for. I truly believe in this film—we’ve made a good film,” the actor said.
Earlier, Varun had also reacted humorously to the memes during a social media live session, saying, “The whole of India is smiling with me,” which was widely appreciated by his fans.
About Border 2
Border 2 is directed by Anurag Singh and is a sequel to JP Dutta’s iconic war film Border. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on January 23, 2026.
The cast includes Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Ananya Singh, Medha Rana, and Mona Singh.
