Amid the strong box office run of Dhurandhar 2, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Bhoot Bangla with a strategic move aimed at boosting early earnings. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film promises a mix of comedy and horror, marking another entertaining collaboration between the actor and filmmaker.
Originally scheduled for release on April 10, the film’s launch was postponed by a week to avoid clashing with the ongoing success of Dhurandhar 2. Now, the makers have introduced a new plan to generate strong revenue even before the official release.
Paid Preview Strategy Inspired by Recent Success
Following the successful model used by Dhurandhar 2, the makers of Bhoot Bangla have announced a paid preview. A special screening will be held on April 16 at 10 PM, allowing eager fans to watch the film a day before its official release on April 17.
This strategy is increasingly being adopted in the industry to create buzz and secure early box office collections. It also caters to dedicated fans who are willing to pay for early access.
Akshay Kumar Shares Update
Akshay Kumar confirmed the development through a social media post, hinting at a “double dose of fun and horror” for audiences. He also revealed that the film’s trailer would be released alongside the announcement, further building anticipation.
Strong Ensemble Cast
Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film features an impressive ensemble cast including Vamika Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar, Tabu, Manoj Joshi, Vindu Dara Singh, and the late Asrani. The film is expected to blend humor with suspense, a signature style of director Priyadarshan.
Reports suggest that Akshay Kumar has charged approximately ₹50 crore for the project, underlining the scale and expectations associated with the film.
