As Sunny Deol’s Border 2 continues to dominate the box office, discussions about the next installment of the Gadar franchise have resurfaced. Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh, opened with ₹30 crore on its first day, followed by ₹36 crore on the second, and over ₹54 crore on the third, entering the ₹100 crore club within just three days. Amid this patriotic film frenzy, actress Ameesha Patel, who famously portrayed Sakina in Gadar and Gadar 2, shared her thoughts on the highly anticipated Gadar 3.

During an #AskAmy session on social media, a fan asked Ameesha when viewers would see Tara and Sakina reunite in the upcoming film. Responding, she said, “Believe me, whenever fans see Tara and Sakina in Gadar 3, God willing, it will create havoc at the box office. This time, it will be a big-budget production, on a grand scale, with even bigger content. It is expected to earn over ₹60 crore on its first day, if and when it releases.”

The Gadar franchise has a history of blockbuster success. The original Gadar (2001), made on a budget of ₹18 crore, grossed ₹132 crore worldwide. Its sequel, Gadar 2 (2023), produced at ₹80 crore, earned an impressive ₹691 crore globally.
