Ahead of the Amarnath Yatra starting in Jammu and Kashmir on July 3, the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) has increased surveillance on NH-44 to ensure the safety of pilgrims.

The Jammu-Srinagar highway is one of the important routes for thousands of pilgrims. The CRPF has increased surveillance on it. K-9 (dog) squads have been deployed along with their personnel on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, the main route used by thousands of pilgrims.
Highway patrolling is being done with a special focus on sensitive parts like the Udhampur sector. Let us tell you that the first batch of pilgrims will be flagged off from the camp on July 2, while the yatra will officially start on July 3 from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes.
Yatra to start from Bhagwati Nagar on July 2
In the meeting, Commissioner Ramesh Kumar said that the yatra will start from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp on July 2. Suggestions were taken from the officials of police, religious organizations, taxi unions, traders, markets, and hotel associations in the meeting. The commissioner said that arrangements for adequate drinking water and electricity supply have been ensured so that Amarnath pilgrims do not face any problems with accommodation and food.
AC hall, hangar, community langar service, and clean mobile toilets are available for the pilgrims in the base camp. Along with this, similar facilities will be available to the pilgrims at the accommodation centers of the districts coming in the route of the Yatra from Lakhanpur in Kathua to Lambar, Banihal in Ramban.
Offline registration will start from July 1
Offline registration will start from July 1 The commissioner said that after online, offline registration facility is being provided to the pilgrims from July 1. The pilgrims will reach Bhagwati Nagar Yatra base camp a day before, after which they will leave for Baltal, Pahalgam base camp the next day.
52 langars and 60 RFID centers have been set up in Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, and Ramban districts and a token center has been set up at Saraswati Dham in Jammu. The Yatra will not be allowed through railways. All the pilgrim groups will leave by road only. Information related to the holy yatra can be obtained from the control room.
