PUBG addiction claimed the life of 22-year-old Mohammad Kaif in Meerut. While playing the game on Friday night, his blood pressure suddenly spiked above 300, causing a brain hemorrhage. He died while undergoing treatment in Delhi. Kaif was the family's only son and was addicted to playing the game all night long.
A horrifying example of how mobile gaming addiction can prove fatal has been witnessed in Meerut. Following the suicide of three sisters in Ghaziabad, PUBG addiction has claimed the life of a 22-year-old man, Mohammad Kaif, in Meerut's Khairnagar area. While playing the game late into the night, the young man's blood pressure rose so high that he suffered a brain hemorrhage.
Mohammad Kaif (22), the only son of property dealer Faruk, a resident of Khairnagar Gular Wali Gali in Meerut, was playing PUBG on his mobile phone with headphones on in his room on Friday night. According to family members, Kaif had been obsessed with online gaming for the past four months. Around 3 a.m. Friday night, he suddenly fell off the bed while playing the game.
When the family arrived at the room, Kaif was in critical condition. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital, where doctors were stunned to find his blood pressure had reached over 300.
Death during treatment
Seeing his condition as critical, doctors immediately referred him to Delhi. After battling for life for two days in a Delhi hospital, Kaif died on Sunday morning. According to doctors, extreme stress and excitement led to increased blood pressure, which led to a brain hemorrhage (rupture of a blood vessel in the brain), which was the primary cause of death.
The reel-making enthusiast is now addicted to the game.
Kaif's father, Faruk, said with a heavy heart that his son was previously fond of making reels on social media, but over the past few months, he had become so addicted to PUBG that he would spend his days and nights playing the game. His family members repeatedly tried to reassure him and reason with him, but his passion for gaming refused to listen.
Chaos in the family due to the death of the only son
Kaif was his family's only son. Upon receiving the news of his death, the family erupted in tears. The parents are inconsolable, mourning the loss of their only son. Psychologists say that online games increase dopamine levels in young people's brains, leading to addiction.
