Couple Breaks Into Café to Steal, Ends Up Getting Intimate Instead — Entire Incident Caught on CCTV
A bizarre burglary case from Scottsdale, USA, has left both the café owner and police stunned. What started as a break-in for theft quickly turned into an unexpected and shocking act, all caught on CCTV.
Incident Details
The unusual incident took place early Saturday morning around 3:50 AM at a well-known café named Mon Cheri, famous for its romantic, rose-themed décor.
A man and woman wearing hoodies broke into the café by forcefully damaging the lock. The duo entered the café with the intention to steal — but what they did next completely surprised everyone.
From Robbery to Romance
Instead of heading straight for the cash counter, the couple was seen in the CCTV footage moving to the outdoor seating area surrounded by flowers. Moments later, they began engaging in intimate acts right there in the open seating space.
The footage revealed that the pair spent considerable time there before proceeding to steal around $450 in cash, an iPhone, and a bottle of rum from the counter. During the burglary, they also caused damage to two café doors.
Initially, both had their faces covered with masks, but later removed them — allowing the CCTV cameras to capture their identities clearly.
Owner’s Reaction
When café owner Lexi Caliskan arrived at the café the next morning, she was shocked to find the place in disarray.
She said,
“When I came in, everything was broken — the stands were smashed, and items were scattered everywhere. It was clear they weren’t professional thieves; they just took advantage of the opportunity.”
Caliskan expressed deep disappointment, stating that while her café is popular among young couples, it is not a place for such indecent acts. She added that the incident had caused serious damage to the café’s reputation apart from the physical losses.
