8th Pay Commission: Will the basic salary of central government employees be ₹51,000? New demands for the 8th Pay Commission have surfaced

There's good news for employees. The long-running Eighth Pay Commission debate has now yielded some positive news. The deadline for submitting various demands to the Commission was June 15th. After that, the Commission will not consider any demands. This was the most important and first step of the Eighth Pay Commission. Now, everyone's attention is focused on whether the demands of employees and pensioners will be met.

The employee union's demands include an increase in basic salary, an increase in the basic salary for DA, and an increase in the fitment factor. The most important of these demands is the fitment factor. As inflation is rising, employees are demanding that the fitment factor should also increase accordingly.

Currently, the fitment factor is 2.57. Even a slight change could make employees rich. Employees are demanding that the fitment factor be 3.83. If this demand is met, your basic salary will increase.

The fitment factor has been changed for several reasons. The 7th Pay Commission set the fitment factor at 1.86. A basic salary of ₹7,000 was then increased to ₹18,000. Similarly, if the government increases the fitment factor to 3.83, your basic salary will increase to ₹68,940. This means ₹18,000 will increase by ₹51,000. However, no official information has been released yet.
