YouTube has rolled out its brand-new Recap 2025 feature, allowing users to instantly revisit the content they enjoyed throughout the year. Available on both mobile apps and the desktop version, this feature compiles a personalized highlight reel of your watch history—similar to Spotify Wrapped or Apple Music Replay, but designed specifically for video consumption.
Through Recap 2025, users can see their top creators, most-watched video categories, preferred genres, and overall viewing patterns. YouTube says this helps people understand their online habits while also offering a fun, shareable summary.
What YouTube Recap 2025 Shows
YouTube Recap analyses your watch history and generates:
• Your top creators of the year
• Your favorite genres and topics
• Total watch time and viewing consistency
• Personality-style cards based on your viewing behavior
• Trend patterns across months
The summary is presented in the form of 12 engaging, story-like cards that you can download or share with friends.
Trending creators: MrBeast leads again
Alongside Recap 2025, YouTube also released its annual trend charts. As expected, MrBeast continues to dominate the platform as the number-one creator. In the podcast category, The Joe Rogan Experience has secured the top spot this year. These charts reflect viewing trends, especially among American users.
