WhatsApp's experience will change for Android users! The design will be a major change, and you'll be surprised

WhatsApp users on Android smartphones, are you ready? Your WhatsApp experience is about to change, as the app's interface for Android users is set to change. The company is preparing to introduce a new design for the Android app's bottom navigation bar . According to media reports, the new navigation bar is similar to the WhatsApp interface on the iPhone. The Android app will be designed according to Google's design guidelines.

The new update isn't available to all beta users.
This change is currently being seen in the development stage of WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.26.38.10. This means that this new update hasn't been made available to all beta users yet. Therefore, it may take some time for this update to reach general users. In the new design, the bottom navigation bar will look slightly different from the rest of the screen. It will have rounded corners all around, making it look like a floating bar. This design will give a more modern look than the current navigation.

New design that will be easily visible in light theme
This change may include not only the shape of the bar but also the visual design of its tabs and controls. According to reports, this new design will be more easily visible in light theme, whereas this change may be less visible in dark theme. WhatsApp's new  Android design is said to be similar to the floating tab bar of the iPhone app. On iOS, WhatsApp has floating and rounded navigation elements like Apple's new liquid glass design. A similar floating concept can be seen on Android as well.

iPhone-like design won't be copied
However, the Android app won't exactly replicate the iPhone design. WhatsApp will follow different design principles for Android. As a result, while the navigation experience on both platforms may look similar, the visual design will differ.
