Weather Update: Temperatures in Rajasthan surpass 42 degrees Celsius, scorching heat prevails, heatwave alert issued

Rajasthan has been experiencing the effects of intense heat for the past few days. The state is currently experiencing scorching heat. The situation in the afternoon is such that curfew appears to be imposed on the roads. On Wednesday, temperatures in several cities in the state reached 40 degrees Celsius or above. In view of the heat, school timings for children up to class 8 have been changed in Jaipur. From April 27, school timings will be from 7:30 am to 12 noon.
What is the Meteorological Department saying?
The Meteorological Centre, Jaipur has predicted that the weather will remain clear in the state for the next 4-5 days and the temperature will rise by 2 degrees. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of heatwave in 7 districts from 23rd to 25th April. Talking about the temperature, the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 42.4 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar and the lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 16.0 degrees Celsius in Fatehpur, Bhilwara.
Heat wave alert issued:
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Jaipur was recorded at around 29 degrees this morning. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 39 to 42 degrees, while the minimum temperature may remain between 26 to 28 degrees. The forecast for the coming days is quite worrying. The temperature is likely to rise by another 1-2 degrees on April 24. A yellow alert has been issued for severe heat wave in many districts on April 25 and 26. There is a strong possibility of heat wave intensifying in the eastern Rajasthan districts of Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, Alwar and Jhunjhunu from April 24.
