Viral: A rasgulla fight at a wedding almost cancelled the ceremony; the video is so funny you won’t be able to stop laughing

Wedding season is currently underway across the country. At wedding functions, wedding guests crave food. Often, heated arguments erupt over whether the food is finished or whether something else needs to be eaten. However, a shocking incident has come to light in Bihar's Gaya district, where a wedding was cancelled due to a shortage of sweets. A shortage of rasgullas in Bodh Gaya, Gaya district, led to a fierce fight between the bride and groom's families. Chairs were thrown and kicks and punches were exchanged during the argument. The situation became so bad that the wedding had to be cancelled.

CCTV footage goes viral

The wedding ceremony was held at a hotel in Bodhgaya on November 30. The bride's family was from the Attari police station area, while the groom's family was from Jhajhata village in the Bodhgaya police station area.

What was the debate about?

After the wedding ceremony, the groom's family arrived at the hall for dinner. An argument broke out between the two parties over the lack of rasgullas (sweets). The argument quickly escalated into a physical fight. People fell on each other, using chairs and anything else at hand as weapons. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. The situation escalated, and the wedding ceremony was eventually cancelled.

What was the reason for the debate?

Several people on both sides were injured in the fight, and both parties have filed complaints at the police station. The bride's family alleges that the groom's family demanded an additional ₹2 lakh (approximately $1 million) in dowry, beyond the ₹10 lakh (approximately $1 million). This escalated the argument.

The groom denied the allegation

The groom's family has completely denied the allegations. They claim they were getting married without dowry and that the argument began only because of a lack of food (rasgullas), which later escalated. They say they are still ready for the marriage, but the bride's family has filed a false case and backed out. Currently, the police have recorded statements from both families and are investigating the matter.
