Triumph Motorcycles has expanded its India lineup with the launch of the all-new Tracker 400, a motorcycle aimed at competing with popular models like the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and Classic 350. The bike has been introduced at a starting price of ₹2,46,225 (ex-showroom), marking another step in Triumph’s growing presence in the country in partnership with Bajaj Auto.
Design Inspired by Flat-Track Racing
The Tracker 400 draws its styling from oval dirt-track racing, giving it a distinctive and sporty appearance. It features wide flat handlebars, a square-shaped fuel tank, revised footpeg positioning, a flyscreen, and dual-spoke wheels fitted with MRF REVZ tires. The motorcycle is available in three color options: Racing Yellow, Phantom Black, and Aluminum Silver Gloss.
Engine and Performance
Powering the bike is a TR-series 350cc engine, delivering around 40PS of power, designed to offer a balance of performance and everyday usability. The setup positions it as a strong contender in the mid-capacity segment.
Hardware and Features
The Tracker 400 comes equipped with a 43mm upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock with preload adjustment, ensuring improved ride quality. Braking duties are handled by four-piston radial calipers, while safety features include ABS and switchable traction control.
Additional highlights include a torque-assist clutch, a semi-digital instrument console with an analog speedometer and digital tachometer, and a seat height of 805mm, making it accessible for a wide range of riders.
Strengthening Triumph’s India Strategy
According to Bajaj Auto, the strong response to models like the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X has boosted Triumph’s popularity, especially among younger buyers. The Tracker 400 is expected to further strengthen this momentum by offering a stylish and sporty alternative in the segment.
