The boy who went to meet his minor girlfriend was stripped and beaten, see the brutality of the family in the video

A horrific incident has come to light in Chhattisgarh. A boy who had come to meet his girlfriend at her house was stripped naked and beaten in public. The police came into action after the video went viral on social media.

 

Sakti (Chhattisgarh): A 21-year-old youth who went to meet a 16-year-old girl in Chhattisgarh's Sakti district was stripped and beaten by the girl's family, police said on Friday. After the video of the incident went viral on social media, police arrested five people in this case on Friday.

 

A police official said the incident took place in Bade Raveli village under the Malkharoda police station area on the night of April 8 when Rahul Anchal, a resident of the Dabra police station area belonging to the Scheduled Caste Satnami community, came to meet a 16-year-old girl from the Other Backward Class (OBC).

What did the police say?

"The girl's family caught the youth at their house at night and allegedly held him hostage," the official said. Police officials said the accused allegedly beat Rahul with slippers, cables and pipes throughout the night. They said Rahul was stripped naked and beaten on the streets of the village on the morning of April 9. In a video viral on social media, the victim is seen sitting on a platform under a tree and a man is hitting his legs with a rope.

In another video, the victim can be heard saying that the girl's parents held him in a room and then called others after which he was beaten up all night. Rahul has been admitted to a hospital in Raigad district, the police official said.

 

 

Five people arrested

Sakti district's Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma said, "No complaint has been received regarding the attack on the youth. After the video surfaced on social media, the police took cognizance of the matter and called an important person of the society (to whom the youth belongs) and on the basis of his complaint, an FIR was registered in the case."

Sharma said that a case has been registered against the accused under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. He said, "So far five people have been detained in this connection and further investigation is underway."
