Big changes have been confirmed in Team India’s squad for the fourth Test match in Manchester against England, scheduled to begin on July 23, 2025. The BCCI has officially announced the exclusion of two players due to injuries, while also confirming the inclusion of a new face in the squad.
Nitish Kumar Reddy Returns Home with Injury
All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remainder of the series after suffering an injury to his left knee. The BCCI stated that the injury has made him unfit for the last two Tests and that he has returned home for further treatment. The board also wished him a speedy recovery.
Arshdeep Singh Out of Manchester Test
In a separate development, fast bowler Arshdeep Singh will miss the fourth Test due to a thumb injury on his left hand, sustained during a training session in Beckinham. While not ruled out of the series entirely, he will remain under medical supervision and won’t be available for selection in Manchester.
Anshul Kamboj Joins Indian Squad
To fill the void, Anshul Kamboj has been added to the squad. The young pacer has joined the Indian contingent in Manchester and is likely to be a part of the backup pace battery for the crucial fourth Test.
