Six Taliban tanks destroyed... Pakistani army, stunned by heavy losses on the Durand Line, launches fierce attacks on Afghanistan

The Pakistani army claims to have destroyed six Taliban tanks during this period. Pakistan claims that some Taliban soldiers were killed in the firing and several others fled the scene. The Taliban, however, claims to have killed 58 Pakistani soldiers.

Islamabad/Kabul: Fierce fighting between Pakistan and the Taliban continued on Tuesday night. Firing continued at several locations between the armies of the two countries throughout the night, with heavy casualties reported on both sides. The Pakistani army claimed that the Taliban and the Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) resorted to unprovoked firing throughout the night, prompting a retaliatory attack. The Pakistani army claimed to have inflicted heavy losses on the Taliban in Afghanistan's Khost province and along the Kurram border.
