School Holidays: Schools will remain closed from May 11 to June 30, now this government has announced holidays

Amidst the rising heat, the Delhi government has announced summer vacations. Delhi government schools will be closed from May 11th to June 30th. This means that students will be off school from May 11th and will be able to enjoy their holidays until June 30th. The Directorate of Education has also issued an official notification regarding this. However, during this period, remedial classes will be held for students in grades 9, 10, and 12. These classes are intended to address students’ weak subjects, revise important lessons, and improve their studies.

According to the Education Department, remedial classes will run from May 11th to May 23rd. After this, students will begin their vacations. These classes will be conducted based on the available facilities and teacher availability at the school. Remedial classes will be held from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, while teachers will be required to be present at the school from 7:20 am to 11 am. There will be three periods, each lasting one hour.

For students in grades 9 and 10, the focus will be on science and math. Schools may include other subjects if needed. Subjects for 12th grade students will be selected based on their academic needs.

Schools will be required to prepare a timetable for remedial classes and submit it to the Education Department before the holidays begin. Students and parents will be informed in advance. Students attending remedial classes will be required to wear school uniforms and obtain parental permission.

Student attendance will also be recorded online. School libraries will remain open so students can study and borrow books. School administrations have been instructed to ensure access to clean drinking water and other necessary facilities.
