Delhi BJP said that Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was allegedly attacked during a 'Jan Sunwai' program organised at her official residence in Civil Lines on Thursday morning. The Bharatiya Janata Party has condemned the entire incident.

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva strongly condemned the attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during the weekly public hearing. Party sources said CM Gupta was attacked by a man around 40 years old.


It has been learned that during the public hearing, the attacker first gave some papers to Chief Minister Gupta and then allegedly attacked her. Delhi Police has arrested the person who attacked CM Rekha Gupta. The attacker has been taken to Civil Lines Police Station.

The accused is a resident of Rajkot, Gujarat.
Delhi Police says that the accused has revealed his name as Rajesh Khimji, and has also told that he is a resident of Rajkot, Gujarat. His name and address are being verified. His documents are being checked.

Sachdeva denies claims of slapping
