Following the NEET paper leak and the subsequent nationwide outrage, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again strongly criticized the central government. During his visit to Tamil Nadu, after meeting with the families of students who committed suicide following the NEET paper leak and exam cancellation, he said that students deserve truth, justice, and accountability, not apologies.

Rahul Gandhi reacted on social media after speaking with the families of students Gopika, Roshni, and Vettri Anandan. He said that these students, who dreamed of pursuing a medical education, had to pay a heavy price for a flawed system. He explained that irregularities in the examination process, paper leaks, and exam cancellations caused mental stress for many students.

According to him, behind every student death is not just a number but a family's dreams, sacrifices, and hopes. Therefore, he said such incidents should be viewed as serious flaws in the education system, not just an administrative matter.

Rahul Gandhi further said that students are urged to study diligently, but flaws in the examination system are ruining their hard work. Therefore, instead of blaming students, the government should take concrete steps to make the education system more transparent, trustworthy, and accountable.

Rahul Gandhi also referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement about pardoning the students involved in the protests. According to him, the students don't need an apology, but the government should accept responsibility to their families and take necessary action to bring the truth to light and ensure justice.

The NEET paper leak scandal has sent shockwaves through the education system across the country at many levels. Against this backdrop, demands for transparency, accountability, and an effective system that prioritizes students' mental health in the exam process are growing stronger.
