Owaisi in Bihar: “We Asked for Just 6 Seats, Got No Reply… People Are Watching Who Is BJP’s B-Team”

The battle for Bihar has intensified even before election dates are announced. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi kickstarted his party’s campaign on Wednesday with the Seemanchal Nyay Yatra from Kishanganj, where he launched a sharp attack on both the BJP and the Grand Alliance.

When asked about possible entry into the Grand Alliance, Owaisi remarked, “The people of Bihar are watching closely who is acting as the BJP’s B-team.”

AIMIM’s Seat-Sharing Demand

Owaisi revealed that AIMIM’s state president Akhtarul Iman had written to Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, requesting the party’s inclusion in the alliance. “We only asked for six seats. Akhtarul Iman even conveyed this through the media, but there has been no response from Tejashwi Yadav,” he said.

The AIMIM chief added, “We have fulfilled our responsibility. Now, it is for the people to see who truly wants to defeat the BJP.” However, he avoided revealing how many seats his party plans to contest, saying the final list will clarify the stand.

Campaign in Seemanchal

Owaisi emphasized that his four-day tour across Seemanchal will focus on meeting people in different constituencies, holding public gatherings, and addressing their concerns. “We came to Bihar in April and promised full participation in the elections. This Yatra is part of that commitment,” he said.

On the ‘I Love Mohammad’ Controversy

Addressing the recent row over “I Love Mohammad” posters, Owaisi said, “Every Muslim loves the Prophet—this is a part of our faith. To ban such posters is absolutely wrong.”

He also responded to Tejashwi Yadav’s call for prioritizing jobs for degree holders, asking him to first reveal how many graduates Bihar actually has.

State president Akhtarul Iman and other AIMIM leaders were present alongside Owaisi during the interaction.
