Navin Meghwal has achieved a remarkable international recognition after being honoured with the prestigious “Hindu Mudup” Award in Bali. He was felicitated for his exceptional contribution towards the promotion and global outreach of Hindu culture and yoga. The award was jointly presented by the Bali royal family and an organisation led by an Indonesian Member of Parliament, highlighting the importance of cultural diplomacy in today’s interconnected world.
The award is instituted by the organisation of Dr Aryaveda Karna, a prominent Hindu leader of Indonesia, a Member of Parliament, and the heir to the Balinese royal family. Every year, only a few select individuals are honoured, and traditionally, the recipients are local Indonesian dignitaries who have significantly contributed to the preservation and promotion of Hindu traditions.
What makes this honour truly special is that Navin Meghwal is the only non-Indonesian and the only diplomat to have received this award so far. His selection reflects the deep impact of his work in Bali and the respect he has earned within Indonesian religious and cultural communities.
Currently serving as the Director of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in Bali, Navin Meghwal has played a key role in strengthening cultural ties between India and Indonesia. Through yoga initiatives, cultural programs, and spiritual exchanges, he has helped revive and promote the shared Hindu heritage of the two nations.
