The iconic duo of Munna Bhai and Circuit could soon return to the big screen. Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi's friendship-filled chemistry remains one of the most loved partnerships in Bollywood, thanks to Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. and Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

Nearly two decades after the second film, fans are still waiting for the third installment. Now, Arshad Warsi has given fans another reason to hope that Munna Bhai 3 could eventually become a reality.

Arshad Warsi Gives an Exciting Update

During an interview with Screen, Arshad Warsi jokingly revealed that Sanjay Dutt had supposedly "picked up a gun" and forced director Rajkumar Hirani to make another Munna Bhai film.

Of course, the actor was clearly joking, but he also indicated that the desire to make another film exists among the people involved with the franchise.

Arshad said that everyone wants to return and that he is hoping the project finally moves forward. He also suggested that Hirani is working on the idea, although there is still no confirmed release date.

Why Has Munna Bhai 3 Taken So Long?

The first two films became hugely successful because they combined comedy with meaningful messages about friendship, compassion, honesty and humanity.

Rajkumar Hirani has previously maintained that a third installment needs a story worthy of the franchise. Rather than making a sequel simply because audiences want one, the filmmaker has been careful about finding the right idea.

This has been one of the biggest reasons the third film has remained in development for so long.

Arshad Reveals How Much Circuit Was Improvised

Arshad also spoke about his approach to playing Circuit.

According to the actor, a large portion of his performance in the first Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. involved improvisation. He explained that he had asked Hirani to allow him the freedom to have fun with the character because Circuit was a very different role for him.

The actor said that the first film involved a great deal of improvisation, while Hirani had a clearer idea of Circuit's dialogue and performance in the second installment.

That improvisational style became an important part of Circuit's personality and helped make the character so memorable.

Fans Still Want Munna and Circuit Back

The combination of Sanjay Dutt's Munna Bhai and Arshad Warsi's Circuit has become a defining friendship duo in Hindi cinema. Their comic timing and emotional chemistry helped turn both films into cult favorites.
