LPG prices: Inflation shock to the people of the country, domestic gas cylinder prices increased by Rs 60 and commercial by Rs 115

The effects of the ongoing war between the US, Israel, and Iran are now being felt in India. Within just six days of the war's start, the public has been hit by inflation. Domestic LPG cylinder prices have been hiked significantly. According to reports, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder has been increased by up to ₹60. Sources say the increased prices came into effect on March 7th.

Not only this, the government oil companies have now increased the prices of commercial gas cylinders
along with domestic cooking gas. Due to this, eating outside may also become expensive. The prices of commercial LPG (19 kg cylinder) have been increased by a huge Rs 115. Now in Delhi, a 19 kg commercial cylinder will be available for Rs 1883, whereas in Mumbai its price has become Rs 1835.

The Indian government has taken significant steps to strengthen the country's energy security in light of the growing crisis in the Middle East. On March 6th, the government directed all oil refineries; both public and private, to increase production
of cooking gas (LPG). According to officials, this decision was taken to ensure that if international tensions disrupt supply, the availability of gas in the country is not affected.
