Kriti Sanon on Fitness for ‘Cocktail 2’: No Size Zero Goal, Just a Strong and Glowing Beach Body

Actor Kriti Sanon is earning praise for her performance and striking on-screen look in the recently released film Cocktail 2, where she plays the character Elli. Along with the film’s success, her fitness transformation has also become a major talking point.

In a recent interview, Kriti clarified that she has never aimed for a “size zero” figure. Instead, her focus has always been on staying fit, healthy, and maintaining a natural glow that suits the character she plays.

“Elli was a very different character for me”

Talking about her role in Cocktail 2, Kriti said Elli is a layered character—fun, outspoken, and emotionally complex. She explained that getting into the mindset of the character mattered more than physical extremes.

According to her, the challenge was not just looking good on screen, but understanding Elli’s personality, emotional depth, and lifestyle.

Fitness philosophy: balance over extremes

Kriti also opened up about her fitness journey, especially after her experience in Mimi, where she had gained weight for the role. She shared that the transformation made her more aware of strength, stamina, and overall body conditioning.

For her role in Cocktail 2, she followed a balanced routine:

  • Eating in moderation rather than strict dieting
  • Working out 3–4 times a week
  • Focusing on being lean, fit, and energetic rather than overly slim

She emphasized that the goal was a “beach body with glow,” not an extreme body type.

Film performance and box office response

Cocktail 2 also features Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna alongside Kriti Sanon. Directed by Homi Adajania, the film released on June 19 and has been receiving a positive response from audiences.

As per early trade reports, the film has crossed around ₹129 crore worldwide in its first 11 days, reflecting strong audience interest.

A message beyond fitness trends

Kriti’s comments underline a shift in how many actors now approach fitness—not as an extreme target, but as a sustainable lifestyle focused on strength, confidence, and long-term well-being.
