A horrifying incident unfolded in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, where a minor dispute over just ₹10 turned into a life-altering tragedy. A tea vendor allegedly poured boiling water on a young customer, severely burning his face, neck, and chest. The incident was captured on CCTV and has since sparked outrage in the area.

What Happened?

The shocking act took place in the Moti Nagar locality under the jurisdiction of Hanumantal police station on Saturday evening. The victim, identified as Ayaan Khan, had gone to the local tea stall run by Muiddin Ansari. After finishing his tea, Ayaan realized he didn’t have cash on him and assured the vendor that he would get the money from home.

This seemingly normal statement enraged the tea seller. Instead of waiting or reasoning, Muiddin hurled abuse at Ayaan. When Ayaan objected to the foul language, the vendor suddenly picked up the vessel of boiling water and poured it directly on the young man's face and upper body.

Rushed to ICU

Ayaan screamed in agony as locals rushed to his aid. He was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital and later shifted to Jabalpur Medical College due to the severity of the burns. Doctors confirmed that he has sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated in the ICU.

Accused on the Run, Police Action Initiated

Following the attack, Muiddin Ansari fled the scene. The police, after reviewing the CCTV footage, have registered a case under serious criminal charges and have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.

ASP Suryakant Sharma confirmed the incident and assured that strict action would be taken. “Violent acts like these will not be tolerated. The accused will be arrested soon and punished under the law,” he said.

A History of Trust Betrayed

Speaking from the hospital, Ayaan Khan revealed that he frequently visited the stall and had often paid later when short on cash. “I’ve never faced such behavior before. I was shocked by how quickly things escalated,” he said. His family has demanded strict legal punishment for the tea vendor and is urging authorities to ensure such brutality is not repeated.
