AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that he does not indulge in speculations about becoming the Prime Minister, but the government lost the opportunity to give a strong reply to Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said on Tuesday (September 30) that he doesn't fantasize about becoming prime minister. He said he prefers to focus on his responsibilities and the real situation. "I'm not interested in dreaming about these things. I focus on reality and understand my limitations. My aim is not just to become prime minister or a minister," Owaisi said at a press conference in Pune.
What did Owaisi say on the Pahalgam terrorist attack?
He said that the Indian government missed an opportunity to give a strong response to Pakistan after the Pahalgam terrorist attack. He asked why the military action was halted when the entire country was prepared to respond to Pakistan.
Owaisi explained that at that time, there was a war-like situation because drones from Pakistan were flying along the western border, from Gujarat to Kashmir. He said, "The entire country was ready to give a strong response to Pakistan, but the government stopped the action. Such opportunities do not come again, but the government missed this one."
There was a mention of discussing PoK in Parliament.
He also mentioned the discussion on PoK in Parliament and said that the opportunity for actual action was lost. Officially, India maintains that Operation Sindoor was only paused, not terminated. Under this operation, the army carried out airstrikes on terrorist hideouts and airports after the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 people.
Owaisi also criticized India's stance toward Pakistan during the recently concluded Asia Cup cricket tournament. He also announced that the AIMIM would participate in the upcoming local elections in Maharashtra.
