Bihar Election Survey: Who will become the Chief Minister of Bihar? The latest shocking C-Voter survey has been revealed

Bihar C-Voter Survey: The latest C-Voter survey has revealed the public's mood regarding the Bihar Assembly elections in 2025. Tejashwi Yadav has emerged as the public's first choice, while Prashant Kishor is rapidly gaining popularity.

Following the announcement of the dates for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, political activity in the state has intensified. The release of the C-Voter survey has brought a new twist to the political equations. The survey asked the public which alliance is gaining ground, who is most popular as Chief Minister, and whether Rahul Gandhi's visit is having an impact.

According to the C-Voter survey, the NDA (BJP + JDU) is receiving 40.2% support, while the Grand Alliance (RJD + Congress) is projected to receive 38.3% of the vote. Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraj Party has received 13.3% support, while 8.2% are undecided. There is only a two-percentage point difference between the NDA and the Grand Alliance. In such a scenario, the Jan Suraj Party's 13 percent vote share could be a significant factor. If Prashant Kishor's party succeeds in winning some seats, it could play the role of a 'kingmaker' in the elections.

Impact of Rahul Gandhi's visit

According to the survey, 51 percent of Bihar residents believe that Rahul Gandhi's "Vote Rights Yatra" will benefit the Grand Alliance. Meanwhile, 32.8 percent believe the tour will have no impact. The remaining 16.2 percent remained unconvinced. This data suggests that Rahul Gandhi's visit has helped create a favorable environment for Tejashwi Yadav, boosting enthusiasm among Grand Alliance supporters.

People's choice for the post of Chief Minister

According to the C-Voter survey, Tejashwi Yadav remains the public's primary choice. He received 36.2 percent support in October 2025. His support was 34.9 percent in June and 40.6 percent in February. JDU leader Nitish Kumar's popularity has been steadily declining. This time, he received 15.9 percent support. Prashant Kishor, meanwhile, is rapidly emerging and now enjoys 23.2 percent support. Chirag Paswan received 8.8 percent support, and BJP's Samrat Chaudhary 7.8 percent.

Jan Suraj Party's growing momentum

Prashant Kishore's Jan Suraj Party has received 13 percent support, a significant figure for a new party. He has so far released a list of 51 candidates and stated that his party will contest 243 seats. Prashant Kishore's popularity is steadily increasing among youth and first-time voters. This trend indicates that the Third Front is gaining ground in Bihar.

SIR controversy and political influence

Public opinion is divided on the Special Voter Revision (SIR) process. Approximately 46 percent believe the process will directly benefit the NDA, while 21.7 percent believe it could benefit the Grand Alliance. The opposition has alleged that approximately 6.5 million names were removed and only 21,000 new ones were added. A large segment of the public views this as administrative bias, which is likely to harm the opposition.

Bihar Election 2025 divided into three fronts

The contest in Bihar is no longer just between the NDA and the Grand Alliance. The rise of the Jan Suraj Party has made it a triangular contest. Tejashwi Yadav is maintaining his popularity, Nitish Kumar's graph is declining, and Prashant Kishor is emerging as a new political force. If current trends continue until the elections, a three-front contest in Bihar is certain. In this situation, the Jan Suraj Party could prove to be the kingmaker.
