B.Tech student died under mysterious circumstances at a PG in Bengaluru. It is believed he died from inhaling the toxic odor of a bedbug killer. Police have registered a case under the UDR Act and launched an investigation into the PG management's negligence.
Bengaluru: A tragic incident has occurred in the HAL police station area of Bengaluru, where a B.Tech student has mysteriously died. The cause of death is believed to be inhaling the toxic odor of bedbug repellent sprayed in the room. The death of this Tirupati resident has raised serious questions about the security arrangements of PG (Paying Guest) management.
Bedbug medicine took Pawan's life
The deceased student has been identified as Pawan, a resident of Tirupati. He was pursuing a B.Tech degree in Bengaluru and lived in a PG in the HAL police station area. The incident unfolded as follows: The PG management had sprayed a bedbug repellent in a room. However, the students living there were not properly informed about this, leading Pawan to enter the room.
Pawan's health deteriorated after inhaling the toxic odor of the bedbug repellent in the room and he collapsed. Upon hearing of the incident, he was immediately rushed to the hospital, but by then he had already died. This incident demonstrates the serious negligence of the PG management.
A case has been registered under UDR and investigation has begun.
Pawan's body has been sent to Boring Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report is received. HAL police arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation. A case has been registered under the Unnatural Death Report (UDR) Act and an investigation has been initiated.
When spraying bedbug repellent, it's crucial to follow safety rules, such as sealing the rooms, not allowing anyone to enter until the smell is completely gone, and informing residents in advance. However, none of these rules were followed, resulting in the death of an innocent student. This incident shows how careless PG owners and staff can be when using such toxic substances. Police will investigate whether the death was due to negligence on the part of PG management.
