BAAP: Entry of flop actress Urvashi Rautela in Sunny Deol’s action film may spell trouble for Sanjay Dutt too!

After the blockbuster announcement of Border 2, Sunny Deol is back in the headlines for another high-voltage action drama – Baap. The film, which also stars Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Mithun Chakraborty, has been wrapped up for quite some time but is still awaiting release. Now, a fresh update has surfaced, and this time it’s not about the action heroes but about the entry of a controversial actress – Urvashi Rautela.

According to media reports, Urvashi has been roped in for a special dance number in Baap. Choreographer-filmmaker Ahmed Khan has finalised her for the remake of the superhit Marathi track “Apsara Aali” from the film Natarang. Sources claim the song shoot has already been completed in just three days.

Why Urvashi’s entry may create trouble

While Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Mithun’s union has already created hype — Urvashi’s addition is being seen as a risky move. Reason? Her track record with Sunny Deol hasn’t been successful.

  • Urvashi played Sunny’s wife in Singh Saab the Great (2013), which turned out to be a flop.

  • More recently, she appeared in a special number “Sorry Bol” in Sunny’s film Jaat, which also failed to impress at the box office.

With two underwhelming outings already, fans are sceptical whether her presence in Baap will bring charm or repeat history.

What is Baap about?

Baap has often been described as Bollywood’s version of The Expendables, bringing together four action legends in one frame — Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Mithun Chakraborty.

Despite being completed, the film has remained stuck for months with no official update from the makers or the cast. Fans are eagerly waiting for its release date, especially after the buzz around Sunny’s mega projects like Border 2 and Ramayana.

So the big question now is — Will Urvashi Rautela’s glam number boost Baap’s appeal or prove to be a weak link for this much-hyped action entertainer?
