Army Rescues 100+ in Flood-Hit MP, Rajasthan & Punjab; Over 300 Given First Aid

The Indian Army is actively engaged in flood relief efforts across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Punjab, as torrential rains continue to disrupt life in several parts of the country. While the situation is gradually returning to normal in some areas, the Army remains on high alert and prepared to respond instantly wherever required.

Operations in Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh, Army teams deployed in Guna and Shivpuri districts have been withdrawn as conditions improved. However, units from Ashoknagar-Gwalior are still monitoring Isagarh and Sihora, ensuring rapid response in case of renewed flooding.

Rajasthan on alert

In Rajasthan, an Army team has been deployed in Dholpur, ready to act if the situation deteriorates. On the District Magistrate’s request, an Army contingent is also assisting in Sri Ganganagar, where they are providing technical support to combat severe waterlogging. The civil administration has sought five pumping sets and a 2-km-long pipeline to manage water removal.

Punjab and other regions

The Army’s presence in Punjab is also part of the nationwide effort, with troops mobilized to support local authorities and rescue operations as heavy rains continue to affect low-lying areas.
