Andhra Pradesh: Man Kills Wife’s Lover, Dumps Body in Pond After Giving Him Alcohol

A shocking murder case has been reported from Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, where a man killed his wife’s lover and disposed of the body in a pond. Police have arrested the accused, identified as Kondaiah, a resident of Seethamma Colony.

The victim, Ramanjinyulu, a tractor driver from the same colony, went missing on September 6. When he did not return home, his wife lodged a police complaint. A missing person case was registered, but even after ten days, there was no breakthrough.

Family’s Protest

Frustrated with the lack of progress, Ramanjinyulu’s wife and relatives staged a sit-in protest outside the district collectorate. She accused the police of inaction, stating that she had no information on whether her husband was alive or dead. Following the protest, DSP Arvind and Joint Collector Ashutosh Srivastav intervened and assured the family that the truth would be revealed by evening.

Accused Confessed

With the investigation intensified, police detained Kondaiah—who had already been suspected by the victim’s wife—and interrogated him. He eventually confessed to the crime.

According to his statement, Kondaiah discovered his wife was having an affair with Ramanjinyulu. Enraged, he plotted to kill him. On September 6, he lured Ramanjinyulu out of town, gave him alcohol, and murdered him. He then transported the body by car and dumped it in the Addanki pond.

The police later recovered the body from the pond. Kondaiah has been arrested, and officials are investigating whether others were involved in the murder.
