A young man, suspecting his wife of having an illicit relationship, attacked her and her alleged lover with knives. The alleged lover died during treatment, while the accused's wife was seriously injured. The wife's mother, who came to rescue her, was also injured. Police are now searching for the accused husband.

Deadly attack at in-laws' house

Borkheda police station officer Devesh Bhardwaj said that Rekha Rani Kushwaha, a resident of Mandipada, was married in Nagda, in the Anta police station area of ​​Baran district. Since the marriage, there had been a rift between Rekha and her husband, Chandraprakash Kushwaha.

Meanwhile, Rekha had moved to Mandipada to live with her mother. On Saturday, Chandraprakash came to Kota and saw Rekha with Deepak Kushwaha. Enraged, he attacked her with a knife.

The mother-in-law who came to the rescue was also injured

Rekha's mother, Rukmani, intervened during the attack, but she too was stabbed. Rekha was seriously injured in the attack. The accused, Chandraprakash, fled the scene with the knife.

Locals immediately rushed Rekha and Deepak to MBS Hospital. However, Deepak, who was seriously injured, was declared dead by doctors. Rekha remains in critical condition. Police arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and sent the body to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

Murder case registered, search continues for the accused

Station Officer Bhardwaj said that based on the family's report, a murder case has been registered against the accused husband, Chandraprakash. Police are searching for the accused and are trying to arrest him soon.

According to the police, neighbors and bystanders rushed to the scene after hearing Rekha and Deepak's screams. They tried to stop the accused, but he managed to escape.

The police have seized the crime scene and evidence is being collected through FSL, MOB and other teams.
