610 crore refunds, 3000 bags returned… IndiGo flights are now back on track amid the crisis

After six days of chaos, IndiGo flights are now back on track. Passengers have been refunded ₹610 crore so far. 3,000 bags have also been returned. The remaining lost bags are ordered to be tracked and returned to passengers within 48 hours.
After six days of chaos and thousands of flight cancellations, IndiGo is slowly getting back on track. On Sunday, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu held meetings with airport operators, directors, and all relevant stakeholders. He gave clear instructions to provide all necessary facilities to passengers still stranded at airports.
The Civil Aviation Minister said that IndiGo should inform passengers of every cancelled flight in advance via text or call. Furthermore, all refunds for flights that are significantly delayed or cancelled should be processed by 8 PM tonight.

He also stated that the aviation network is now moving towards full normalcy, and that improvements will continue until everything is completely stable. This means that IndiGo Airlines is slowly getting back on track.
To reduce passenger inconvenience at airports, multiple stakeholder engagements were held and real-time airport situations have been monitored continuously over the last four days.

610 crore refund, 3000 bags also returned
Meanwhile, amid IndiGo's six-day chaos, the Ministry of Civil Aviation announced on Sunday that IndiGo has processed a total of ₹610 crore in refunds to passengers for canceled or severely delayed flights. Additionally, 3,000 bags have been returned to stranded passengers. All other lost bags are ordered to be tracked and returned to passengers within 48 hours.
1500 flights operated yesterday amid the crisis
Amid the flight crisis, IndiGo shared new information on Sunday. The company stated that it has resumed flights to 137 of its 138 destinations. More than 1,650 flights are scheduled to operate today, compared to 1,500 yesterday. On-time performance has improved from 30% to 75%. All refund and baggage processing is being processed expeditiously.
