Bajaj Auto marked the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Women’s historic Women’s Premier League (WPL) title win by gifting Chetak C25 electric scooters to all members of the championship-winning squad. The gesture coincided with the company’s official launch of retail sales for the new Chetak C25 electric scooter.
The announcement also concluded a season-long partnership between Bajaj Chetak and RCB Women, under which the electric scooter brand served as the team’s official ride partner throughout the WPL season. The initiative highlighted Bajaj Auto’s focus on promoting women’s cricket alongside sustainable mobility.
Chetak C25: Entry-Level Electric Offering
The Chetak C25 is positioned as the most affordable electric scooter in the Bajaj Chetak portfolio. Designed primarily for daily urban commuting, the model sits below the Chetak 30 and Chetak 35 variants while retaining the brand’s signature metal body construction and solid build quality.
Battery, Range and Performance
The scooter is powered by a 2.5 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of up to 113 kilometres on a single charge. It uses a hub-mounted electric motor and has a top speed of 55 kmph, making it suitable for city use.
Charging is handled by an onboard 750W charger, which takes approximately two-and-a-half hours to charge the battery from 0 to 80 per cent.
Launch Offers and Pricing
As part of an introductory offer, Bajaj Auto is providing a discount of ₹4,299 to the first 10,000 customers, bringing the ex-showroom price to ₹87,100. The offer is currently available in select cities and will be expanded in phases as production ramps up.
Key Features
Despite being the entry-level model, the Chetak C25 is equipped with several practical features. These include an IP67-rated battery, front disc and rear drum brakes, 170 mm ground clearance, and a compact turning radius for ease of use in congested city conditions.
Additional features include hill-hold assist, reverse mode, Eco and Sport riding modes, guide-me-home lighting, and basic connectivity functions, enhancing its appeal as an everyday electric scooter.
