Women and children no longer need to visit police stations to lodge complaints. In cases of molestation, domestic violence, cybercrime, harassment, or any crime against women, they can now directly contact the Mission Shakti Centre in-charge of their nearest police station from home.

On government instructions, Police Commissioner Amarendra Kumar Sengar has issued CUG (Closed User Group) numbers to the in-charges of Mission Shakti Centres set up in 53 police stations.

Immediate Action on Complaint

According to ACP Women’s Crime, Soumya Pandey, women and children can now directly register complaints by calling these numbers. Once a complaint is received, immediate police action will be taken.

After the case is handled, the Mission Shakti Centre in-charge will also take feedback from the complainant to ensure her satisfaction. This system has been implemented under Mission Shakti Phase-5, in line with the Uttar Pradesh government’s Zero Tolerance policy against crimes involving women.

Complete Confidentiality Guaranteed

The ACP emphasized that the identity of the complainant and all related information will be kept strictly confidential. Upon receiving a complaint, police personnel will reach the location immediately and take action against the accused.

Since the victim’s identity will remain protected, women and girls need not fear retaliation or social pressure.
