Sonakshi Sinha married her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal last year. She has been subjected to trolling ever since their wedding. Marrying someone from another religion has made her a target, but she has not only responded to these comments but also teased them by sharing romantic photos and videos with her husband.

Sonakshi Sinha spoke about her interfaith marriage, family relationships, and upcoming projects on the talk show "The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra." When asked about the importance of religion in their relationship, Sonakshi clarified that while they may have been raised in different religions and traditions, they respect each other, as do their families.

Sonakshi Sinha said, "We get along well as a couple. At home, where we grew up in different ways, there are certain customs that he and his family follow, which I respect a lot, and there are certain customs that my family and I follow, which they respect."

Sonakshi Sinha further said, "I think that's the beauty of it. Religion has never come between us. There has never been any questioning or fighting or any tension, and I think that's the most beautiful part of it. Our strength lies in respect." Sonakshi also revealed that her parents have accepted Zaheer with open hearts.

Sonakshi Sinha said, "Zaheer is 100% a son-in-law. When Zaheer comes home, everyone runs around saying, 'Zaheer is coming, son-in-law is coming... all the food should be ready.' And my mother will ask me ten times, 'What will you eat, what you will eat...' And Papa loves spending time with him."

Sonakshi Sinha said, "I think they (Shatrughan Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal) have become really good friends. So when I go and they're in a room, I keep quiet and they're usually talking to each other!"

Speaking about maintaining love, Sonakshi Sinha said, "We say we want to find someone we can grow old with. After being with someone like Zaheer, you realize you need someone you can be a kid with. That's what keeps the fun going. You keep laughing constantly. It was something that was missing in my life. Now that it's here, I couldn't be happier." Talking about her upcoming projects, Sonakshi Sinha said, "I've actually just finished two films, and one of them will be my first Telugu film, which I'm really excited about. It's called 'Jatadhara,' and it should be released by the end of the year."

Sonakshi Sinha further added, "I've also just finished another Hindi film, which I can't talk much about right now. It was a very different role for me, and I worked with a very good director, which I'm excited about. And I have another release that hasn't been announced yet, but there are a lot of exciting things coming very soon."
