WhatsApp Trick: Listen to long voice notes at 2x speed, save time, learn about this secret feature
If your friends or colleagues send you long audio (voice messages) on WhatsApp and you waste a lot of time listening to them completely, then WhatsApp's 'Voice Message Speed Controller' feature can be very useful for you.
People often end up interrupting a 2-3 minute long voice recording or simply don't listen to it due to lack of time. However, with this built-in feature, you can save a lot of time by listening to any audio message at 1.5x or 2x speed.
Easy way to increase voice message speed
Open WhatsApp. Open WhatsApp on your phone and go to the chat where you received the voice message.
Press the Play button: Tap the Play button to listen to the audio message.
Click the Speed button. As soon as the audio starts playing, '1x' will appear on the right side of the voice bar.
Change the speed: Clicking on that 1x once will change it to '1.5x' (one and a half times the speed), and clicking it a second time will change it to '2x' (twice the speed).
The biggest advantage of this feature
is that even when the audio speed is increased, the voice quality or words don't deteriorate. You can easily understand what the other person is saying in less time.
