Vaibhav Suryavanshi or Arjun Tendulkar: Who has a higher IPL salary?

Young Indian cricketers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Arjun Tendulkar often remain in the spotlight. Recently, the two faced each other in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match, which drew considerable attention. Arjun’s team, Goa, won the game.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s performance stood out despite the defeat. He scored an impressive 46 runs off 25 deliveries, including four fours and four sixes. Arjun Tendulkar picked up two wickets for 32 runs in his four overs but managed only five runs with the bat.

Both players could now face each other again in the IPL. Suryavanshi is part of the Rajasthan Royals squad, while Arjun Tendulkar will represent the Lucknow Super Giants this season, following a trade from Mumbai Indians. However, the salary gap between the two cricketers is significant.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s IPL salary
Vaibhav Suryavanshi was bought by the Rajasthan Royals at the IPL 2025 auction. His base price was Rs 30 lakh, but the Royals secured him for Rs 1.10 crore. He has been retained for IPL 2026 as well, meaning he will again receive Rs 1.10 crore for the upcoming season.

Arjun Tendulkar’s IPL salary
Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, received a salary of Rs 30 lakh from Mumbai Indians for IPL 2025. After being traded to the Lucknow Super Giants, he will continue at the same salary for IPL 2026. This means he will earn Rs 30 lakh for the forthcoming season as well.

Who earns more?
The comparison clearly shows that Vaibhav Suryavanshi earns far more than Arjun Tendulkar in the IPL. Suryavanshi’s salary of Rs 1.10 crore is more than three times higher than Arjun’s Rs 30 lakh.
