NDRF and ITBP will be deployed to keep the Chardham Yatra smooth. Union Home Minister Amit Shah inquired from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami over the phone about the situation in the state, including Kedarnath.

Union Minister Amit Shah, given the seriousness of the situation, assured that the emergency relief agencies of the Central Government, NDRF, ITBP, are being deployed promptly. So that the Chardham Yatra is not disrupted and the devotees do not face any inconvenience in movement.
Along with this, he also assured to provide all possible assistance by keeping constant vigil in other sensitive districts of the state. CM Dhami expressed his gratitude to Union Minister Shah. Boulders and debris fell from the hill in Chhodi Gadera on the Gaurikund-Kedarnath pedestrian route. Due to this, the journey was closed for about three hours. During this time, the passengers were stopped at Gaurikund itself, while the passengers returning from Kedarnath were stopped at Bhimbali and Jangalchatti. The walking journey could resume after 11 am.
Traffic remained closed for about two hours on Friday morning due to debris in the Umatta landslide area on the Badrinath Highway in Chamoli district. The Yamunotri Highway has been closed for the last six days. About 25 meters of the Gangotri Highway near Papadgad in Bhatwadi once again collapsed, due to which traffic remained closed for about eight hours.
Warning of heavy rain in Rudraprayag
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Bageshwar and Rudraprayag districts on Saturday. A yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Nainital, and Chamoli districts. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the hilly districts today.
