British motorcycle brand Triumph has officially unveiled the 2026 Trident 660 and 2026 Tiger Sport 660, both receiving their most significant updates so far. The two middleweight motorcycles now come with increased power and torque, revised styling, new colour schemes, and multiple mechanical improvements. Triumph is expected to introduce both models in the Indian market in the coming months.
The updates go beyond cosmetic changes, with noticeable enhancements to the engine, chassis, suspension, and overall riding comfort—making both motorcycles more capable than before.
What’s new in the 2026 Triumph Trident 660
The Triumph Trident 660 has been redesigned to look sportier and more premium. Triumph has updated the body panels, reshaped the fuel tank to make it wider and more ergonomic, and redesigned the seat for better comfort. The headlamp design is now inspired by the larger Trident 800, giving the bike a sharper and more aggressive appearance.
On the mechanical side, the Trident 660 now gets a new Showa rear shock with both preload and rebound adjustment. The front continues to use 41mm USD forks. Braking hardware remains unchanged, with twin 310mm front discs and Nissin calipers, while Michelin Road 5 tyres continue to handle grip duties.
The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 195 kg and a seat height of 810 mm, making it accessible and comfortable for a wide range of riders.
2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 updates
The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 has been further refined with a strong focus on long-distance touring. One of the biggest upgrades is a larger 18.6-litre fuel tank, which significantly improves riding range on highways.
Triumph has also revised the bodywork to offer better wind and weather protection. The windscreen is now adjustable and provides increased coverage, enhancing rider comfort during long journeys.
Suspension duties are handled by Showa USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock, with 150 mm of travel at both ends. The rear shock now features remote preload adjustment, allowing easy tuning when riding with a pillion or luggage. The Tiger Sport 660 has a kerb weight of 211 kg.
More powerful 660cc engine
Both the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 are powered by Triumph’s 660cc inline three-cylinder engine, which has been further refined for 2026. The engine now produces 95 hp, an increase of 14 hp, along with 68 Nm of torque.
Triumph claims that 80% of the torque is available from just 3,000 rpm, ensuring smooth performance in city riding as well as strong highway cruising. The company has improved the throttle response, airbox design, cylinder head, and cooling system, while the redline has been increased to 12,650 rpm, delivering a more engaging riding experience.
Overall improvement
With increased power, improved suspension, better touring comfort, and updated styling, the 2026 Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660 are now more refined, more premium, and more versatile than their predecessors. These updates strengthen Triumph’s position in the competitive middleweight motorcycle segment and are likely to attract both performance-focused riders and touring enthusiasts alike.
