Toyota Price Hike Shock: Innova to Fortuner Get Costlier in January 2026 — Check Full Details

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has delivered a major jolt to car buyers at the start of 2026. The company has increased prices across several popular models in its Indian lineup and also revised variant availability. The price hike affects some of Toyota’s best-selling vehicles, including the Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross, and Fortuner (along with the Legender).

At the same time, Toyota has discontinued a few variants across models like the Rumion, Hycross, and Fortuner. However, prices of models such as the Urban Cruiser Taisor, Hilux, Camry, Vellfire, and Land Cruiser 300 remain unchanged.


Innova Crysta becomes costlier by up to ₹33,000

Toyota has raised prices of the diesel-powered Innova Crysta by up to ₹33,000. The biggest hike is seen on the lower GX variants, while higher trims have also witnessed notable increases.

The updated price range of the Innova Crysta is now ₹18.99 lakh to ₹25.53 lakh (ex-showroom).

Key highlights:

  • GX variants see a hike of ₹33,000

  • GX+ variants are costlier by around ₹21,000

  • VX and ZX variants have increased by ₹25,000–₹26,000

Despite the hike, the Innova Crysta continues to be one of the most popular ladder-frame MPVs in India.


Innova Hycross price hike goes up to ₹48,000

Toyota has also revised prices of the Innova Hycross, with increases ranging up to ₹48,000 depending on the variant. The company has discontinued the base G variant, making the GX trim the new entry point.

The Innova Hycross is now priced between ₹19.15 lakh and ₹32.38 lakh (ex-showroom).

Key highlights:

  • GX and GX(O) variants are dearer by around ₹29,000–₹31,000

  • Hybrid VX and VX(O) variants see a hike of about ₹40,000

  • Top-spec ZX(O) hybrid variant is now costlier by ₹48,000, the highest increase in the lineup


Fortuner and Legender get the steepest hike

The Fortuner range has received one of the sharpest price hikes in Toyota’s portfolio. Prices have gone up by ₹51,000 to ₹74,000, depending on the variant.

The Fortuner is now priced between ₹34.16 lakh and ₹49.59 lakh (ex-showroom).

  • Entry-level petrol MT variant is costlier by ₹51,000

  • 4×4 variants see hikes of over ₹50,000

  • Legender variants have become dearer by up to ₹71,000

  • Fortuner GR-S gets the biggest hike of ₹74,000

Toyota has also discontinued the limited-availability Leader variants of the Fortuner.


Toyota Rumion entry variant discontinued

Toyota has discontinued the entry-level Rumion E MT variant, which was earlier priced at ₹9.51 lakh. Following this change:

  • Rumion prices now start at ₹10.44 lakh

  • Top-end price remains unchanged at ₹13.62 lakh


Models with no price change

Toyota has not revised prices for the following models:

  • Urban Cruiser Taisor

  • Innova Hycross (selected trims earlier unaffected)

  • Hilux

  • Camry

  • Vellfire

  • Land Cruiser 300
